Monthly prepay and bi-weekly plans are billed in advance. Payment is due by the 1st of the month or the first lesson of the month, whichever comes first.
Per-lesson students: payment is due before or at lesson start time. Lesson time cannot be held without payment.

Lessons cancelled with at least 48 hours' notice may be eligible for a make-up

Maximum of one rescheduled lesson per month

Make-ups must be used within 30 days and are not guaranteed

Late cancellations (less than 48 hours) are charged the full lesson fee

One late-cancel grace per semester — charged at 50% instead of full fee

No-shows are charged in full

Teacher cancellations: lesson will be rescheduled or refunded — always
Manhattan Lessons — Special Note

If a lesson at PianoPiano is cancelled after the room has been booked, the studio room fee is always charged regardless of notice

Room fee must be paid before the next lesson can be scheduled

Illness Policy |

No lessons if you are sick — please do not come to the studio ill

Instructor may end a lesson if a student arrives visibly ill

Same-day illness cancellations follow the standard cancellation policy

True emergencies are handled at the instructor's discretion

No lessons on major holidays unless mutually agreed upon

Instructor touring and performance travel will be clearly communicated in advance

Affected lessons will be rescheduled or credited

Unsafe weather: lesson rescheduled at no charge

These are curated evenings — participation is based on readiness and invitation

No food or alcohol during lessons

Harassment or disrespect of any kind will not be tolerated
| Ending the Lesson Relationship |
